What size are the bolts holding the rudder in the casting? My new/old H16 is missing the bolts. Thought I'd stop by my local hardward store and pick up some stainless ones that are the right size. Thanks.

If you can't find them at Lowes or Home Depot, try the Mariner Sails website: http://www.mariner-sails.com/, or call 1-800-536-9463. They typically ship same day for orders placed by noon. Mariner Sails is the Hobie dealer in Dallas - customer service is EXCELLENT!!

This is one of the most important cases where you need to use the correct, specific bolts. If you use hardware store bolts, the rudders will be pivoting on bolt threads-hopefully I don't need to explain the importance. The right ones are not only exactly the right length, but only have threads out past where the rudder pivots on them.
