Photobucket is a snap! Self-explanatory, too.

OK, here's the question. I have a new Outback that i picked up a few weeks back and it's still factory wrapped because i have been so busy that i have not had time to look it over or use it.

Well yesterday i started to open the factory protective wrap and i notice what appears to be a small crack near the sail post. I am not positive it is a crack yet or just a scrape.

It does extend a little further down from what the pic shows but it's hairline and tough to see. I thought the screw was tightened down too much at the factory which may have caused it but can't say for sure.

One thing i do know is it was not caused by my handling of it or transporting it. I made sure the straps were not overly tight and they were not near the suspect area anyway. Now i know it's not in a critical area and i know scratches are common and they don't bother me but a crack does. This is a brand new yak after all. Any advice

That doesn't look like anything - maybe a scratch - superficial only I'd guess...

I can't help about the mark on the boat. But you've put this in a thread about posting photos, and not everyone may read it. Maybe ask your question again in its own thread, as a general kayaking questions? "Mark on new boat" or something?

No that looks just like a little scuff mark-nothing like a crack to be bothered with. You'll add plenty more of these-have fun!
