In Ireland, lucky enough to have some fantastic bass fishing around and have had a few on fly though had the pleasure/displeasure of seeing the guy beside me last week nailing one about 13lb on fly lol. Now want to go afloat.

Anyways i digress, looking to purchase above (~one for me one for cousin, I'm not greedy). Has anyone ordered in states etc? Any problems with same? Hard to source dealer here and seems far cheaper to order in States or am i a total Doofus ? (actually don't answer that one)

All suggestions/advice/abuse greatfully accepted.

thanks in advance

Irish Bass

Contact a dealer here in the states, get all the shipping info(class and weight) and them do some research to see how much it will cost to get one shipped over.

Kayaks in Europe

You should contact a dealer in Europe through the Europe distributor:

Thanks for the help guys. Contacted a few in States...all of who tell me that cariage costs are prohibitive. One even said carriage cost is more than kayak cost. Did a quick recce in UPS seems costs would be around the $300-400 mark so I can't see where these outrageous quotes are coming from.

Tried the hobie.com website. Unfortunately in this slightly backward country of ours (Ireland) Zip codes dont exist and as such am not able to source a dealer. Any ideas ??

Probably already thinking about all those bass you're going to catch!

Even if the kayaks are a bit more expensive, they don't get damaged easily, last a long time and hold their resale value well. Heck, you can rent it out to your fishing buddies.

And welcome to the forum.

Thanks for all the help boys. That's it then the deed has been done, the Outback has been purchased, the wife lied to and the shredder plugged in to erm "dispose of" any incriminating bank statements that might arrive and give the game away.

Two weeks delivery time, excellent service, helpful and obliging dealer...and...wait for it...just in time for prime bass time in some of the estuaries around Cork.

Now all I need is the "you can go out" signed, countersigned, submitted and approved then it's paradise here we come..and, no doubt, a few unplanned for swims.
