So far I've just seen one picture. It looks to be in good condition. Owner states it's always been stored in his garage. 2008 model. Asking $3000 with trailer.

Good price?

In Hawaii, you don't have a ton of alternatives. I bet there are not tonsof used Wave listings on Craigslist. Give him the 3k and get on the water.

There's exactly one in the whole state.

It'll cost me close to $4K as I'll have to get it shipped from Kona to Maui. That means trailing it 20 miles up the coast to the West Hawaii freight terminal where it gets loaded on a barge, swap barges in Honolulu, dropped off in Kahului, and trailed 25 miles to West Maui. The shipping will be close to $1K.

That sucks, but if you want a Wave, you probably don't have any alternatives. Unless of course you man up and sail it over there. Its what, a couple hundred miles across shark infested waters?? Better pack a lunch!

Sailing between islands is not that hard. As long as the trade winds aren't howlin' it's doable.

I'd make it a two day trip. Kona-Wailea the first day, 75 mile reach. Wailea-Kaanapali the second day, 15 mile reach. The only real problem is where to put the trailer.

sell the tailer and then buy a little flat bed trailer. Of coures 75 miles on a wave in the ocean would be something to tell your grandchildren about if you made it out alive.
