Just as a reference, I did 2 boats and went through a little under half of the gallon. I don't think I used an excessive amount. If you can find the RMP, I would suggest stocking up (especially if you can get it for $4 a pop).

Brian, for what its worth, I was forever getting wheel marks on the hull insides - a pain to get at, and stubborn to clean. Then I read about Mr. Clean Magic Eraser over on The Hull Truth forum. Unbelievable stuff! Have no idea what is in it - but I have not found a hull stain yet that it can't remove. They are a few bucks each, and you are lucky if you get one to last for a Hobie - but they are amazing.

Its been a little while now does it still look good? my dad is insisting the it wont work good on boats because its should be stiff and will crack.

So far so good. I have had my boat stored outside for a while and there is no cracking or anything like that. The stuff doesn't go on thick enough for it to really crack.

I've been pleasantly suprised. I went to Lowes and bought up their stock of Red Max Pro for future boats.

How does this stuff last in the long haul? I have heard of it being a nightmare to remove once it starts to look funky?

Thank God I own a getaway LOL, I can't begin to count the number of hours I spent cleaning polishing waxing!!! I know its a labor of love but after 20yrs. of it, it gets to be work. All I do is take my getaway into the closest coin opp car wash and it comes out looking like the first day I picked it up from the dealer.
