If anyone is done with thier copy of Phil Berman's H18 Performance Manual, please consider selling a scanned copy if not the book itself. It looks like at this point we need to pass it arround, considering how few copies are out there...

Just how much trouble is scanning the manual?

I would love a copy. If someone could digitally photograph the pages, I'd assemble them into a PDF.

So how much trouble would we be in coping/scanning the copy-righted book that has been out of print for over 15 years? I’d be all in for scanning my copy but legally ?!?!? I would not want to post it.

How many pages is it? If someone with the manual was willing to send it out (after being paid for shipping and a "security deposit" by the recipient), it could essentially be passed around and copied/scanned/speed read at the recipient's discretion, then put back in the mail for the next person.

Ok, so does anyone have a copy that I could borrow? I'll pay to have it sent to me and return it within one week.

Mark

You need to contact the author, as the book is still under copyright. But if you do a google search for the author, you'll figure out how to contact him. Many authors will be fine with you photocopying an out-of-print book, but you do need permission.

Best of luck,

Jim Clark-Dawe

I've sent a request to Phil Berman to copy/scan the manual. We'll see what his response is.

I bought my blue paper-back spiral-bound version (new) a couple of months ago. I made several tuning changes that definitely helped and am now ready to let it go. I paid $23 shipped to me so how about $20 shipped anywhere in the US?
