Strongly recommend going for the 16.
The 14 will handle the weight... well.. it will float... but performance will be hoorible, takcing a nightmare, and more or less like driving a car with 4 flat tires.
Step up to the 16 and because it's not overloaded, will sail much better (less frustrating) and therefore a lot more fun... AND you can single hand the 16, bring a friend... or even bring 2.
Most fun on a 14 is maybe up 170-180 pounds, but sure, someone heavier can sail it.. I've had 250 onboard, and had fun, but a 16 is better suited.
