If it's in REALLY in great shape and loaded with options that's a fair price. That said. it should have...
Really nice sails - no holes, no stains, little wear, minimal repairs (i.e. probably not original)
High quality cleats like Harken or Ronstan in good condition
6:1 Main sheet
upgraded downhaul
Two traps in good condition
Aussie Jib Halyard
Extendable Tiller
EPO Rudders (make sure they are not just black plastic)
Good Lines (no frayed sheets or halyards)
No dents or bends in the mast & make sure the comptip is in good shape
Solid/Clean hulls with only minimal repairs - NO PAINT
Solid gudgeons that have not been ripped out
clean tramp with little wear
Clean trailer with no rust - Ideally with a Sail box
If it has all that, then yes, it's probably worth it.
I agree completely. But being an 88 it has a snowballs chance in hell of meeting that criteria.
