There is a tear in my sail about 6 inches from the top of the mast down to 12 inches from the top of the mast on the front (I embarrassingly misjudged a bridge's height).

I have seen sail repair patches, but would they be appropriate for the thicker part of the sail that wraps around the mast?

Also, I am still under warranty but not sure if it covers this. Any thoughts?

matthewdcrowson,

I doubt that the tear would be covered by warranty as it was user error - not a manufacturing fault! My suggestion would be to take the sail to a sail maker for repair. Your tear is in a high load area, so a sticky back sail repair will not be strong enough.

Rob.
