We found quick-release fittings on the hiking stick/tiller and mainsheet block/traveler made set up quicker and easier - and also less prone to disaster (I dropped one of the tiny ring-dings in the sand once when the boat was new and had no spares, and it took quite some time to find it).

Yes, that's a good suggestion. Those quick pins would be so much easier than the rings... however, I have read that they are not recommended on the forestay (since they are hollow and thus not as strong). Thanks.

Ahoy Scott,

I purchased my Getaway in 2003 and have made many add-ons & mods. Take a look at my photos at: http://www5.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumb ... =snapfish/

Look at each picture closely, there is an add-on or mod in each photo (some photos are repeats).

What you won't see is my raising the mast single handedly. It can be done without a mast stepper. Although, I do not have the float bob on the top of the mast.

Let me know if you have questions,
Frank

Hello, would it be possible to post your pictures in a website that is not spam-land like Snapfish. Picasa, for example? Thank you.
