Junkie, you are absolutely right, I need to keep it simple. Here is my modified routine:
1. Troll diving plug and spoon until I hit about 60ft (that's about a mile from shore) hoping to pick up some mackerel on the way out.
2. Reel in both lines and send out the livebait, one line only. I keep this out the whole time while I go from spot to spot for jigging.
3. If I still have a bait, troll it all the way back to shore. If not, I'll just put out the yozuri again.
This routine worked well for me yesterday, catch report to follow shortly.
