Sounds good to me Stringy. We may never get into the Guinesses Book but the Hobie Book will have more cred ( to us anyway ).

ChangeMan – The photos of Fortescue Bay in my Trip Report here viewtopic.php?f=70&t=46696 are at this latitude. That’s good enough proof for this dodgy, I mean credible, World Record Book. You could also go for the RC Chopper record with the similar photo without the rope  . I think I’ve also seen a video from a kite out there, somewhere. But for now, record 6 is yours.

Hollgi - It’s yours until claimed by others. That’s the rules. If only Josh had had a TI. Then it would have only been impossible to land rather than a miracle.

OK - sounds like good fun, so I may as well weigh in with a claim to the First Folding Haka on the island !

The committee have reviewed your claim in great detail and after an intensive research search, they have just awarded you a new World Record No 11. Congratulations. Ingenious design there aussieonyak. Where abouts did you post details of how you did it ?

Hey there Slaughter thanks for the award :P

details of the construction are on the mother of all threads by NOHUHU - THE HAKA BENCH SEAT - AN ALTERNATIVE TO TRAMPS
viewtopic.php?f=69&t=37645&start=645

Scroll down and you will see a video and then a posting with detailed photos. Not sure how to pinpoint the actual posting with a link.

Slaughter, can I suggest record No. 15 "Best Island Hiding Place"?

A visitor turned up here yesterday with her 30 foot Toyota Coaster, with a few modifications. She didn't fancy using a trailer, and the roof was far too high, so....

I showed her my local lake, but winds were a little light to begin with.

Hmmm...interesting subject Slaughter. I wonder...can I lay claim to the first AI/TI in Darwin? I have only seen one other, owned by a RAAF bloke and his wife. He was posted up here last September, but has only been on the water two or three times. I bought mine in April 2012 and it has created a lot of interest amongst the sea kayaker group and the Darwin Sailing Club.
Can I try for another record? ...being an owner whose nearest dealer is Binks marine in Adelaide 3,210 km away!
Cheers Vintagereplica ...oh I might inadvertently survive to lay claim to being the only AI owner to feed an AI to a Croc!
