I saw this regatta posted and wondered if anyone is going or has attended in the past? I think it looks fun! Anyone have any info/advice to share?

Funny that you should mention Spring Fever. Several of us have been trying to encourage Hobie attendance there. Take a look at the Division 9 portion of the Hobie Racing section of this forum and read through some of the more recent threads. Spring Fever is one of the biggest multihull regattas in the Southeast. It will be fun, hope to see you there.

Hey thanks MVD! I did not post there since it is not a strictly Hobie event...but I hope to be going with my Captain who has a 21SE and a couple 16s. It sure looks like/sounds fun!! :D

We are really trying to focus on getting enough 16s together so that we can have a strong one-design class rather than be scored on a Portsmouth handicap basis with a bunch of other cats and dogs. We need at least five. I'm pretty sure we'll get there, so have your Captain saddle up a 16 and head for Spring Fever. On the 21, y'all would certainly be competing in the miscellaneous handicap fleet. Competing on a 16 against other 16s would be more fun.

Hope to see you there.

Seven Hobie 16's are currently pre-registered for Spring Fever, so we've got a class. Hopefully a few more will materialize over the next couple of weeks. There are a total of 59 boats of various classes pre-registered. This will be a great regatta. Come join us.
