How many H16 usually participate? How big is your sailing club on Poinsett? I sail my 16 in Yankton and we are having our fleet meeting this weekend so ill spread the word, sounds like fun.

Our club has approx 25 members. Not all of them really have boats. We meet on Wednesday evenings through out the year to lie to each other and tell stories, and during the summer to sail.
To answer your questions how many 16s last year we had approx 15 boats sailing. Five of them were 16's, 2 were getaways, 7 waves, 3 monohauls (14' mutinteer, 20ft or so cabin, not sure of the third.
Not a big regatta, but we have alot of fun. Also we use basic rules or some say no rules. Our comador is Roger Bomersbach (sp) who you might know or at least his son. He trys to keep us using correct sailing rules.
With handicap etc. my wave came in 1st, third over all. We were pushing 20mph winds that day. most of the 16's were not set up with crew for that much wind.
Come on up we will be glad to have Yankton sailors join us.
