Hey guys, I was cleaning my hobie 16 last night (recently purchased) and noticed the owner before me repaired a few spots on both hulls.. There are light grayish square patches that I'm guessing were repairs.. Most are very smooth and well done and other that the cor difference I would not be able to tell th were repaired.. One repaired patch on the side of the left hull has a nickel/quarter size spot that is of very smooth looking and when pressed with finger easily pushed in.my question is that until I have it permanently repaired, what kind of fix could I do to make that tiny spot a little firmer just to be safe? Thank you

Sorry for the misspelling above. Should've checked before posting. I meant the soft spot is not as smooth as its surroundings and it is NOT pushed in but when I press it, it moves in and out slightly.. I feel as if I could easily push my finger right through with enough pressure

Sounds like they were just covered to be able to sell the boat. = (
There probably isn't anything safer - doesn't sound safe if they could take in water... so I'd pop it in with your finger then - clean it a bit and fill it with something more solid. I have some epoxy filler (two parts in cans) you mix the putty - until the colors mesh, then apply in the hole. So good it can be applied under water. I've used it on a hobie and my fountain. Putty it - sand it and paint the spot if desired.

Other option could be to drill into it (Center) with a small bit and inject some resin or filler. and HOPE that the inner part of the sandwich is still solid. (closed).
but probably not. Best to punch it in, so you can see if it goes all the way through.
