Looking for good deal/dealer for PA 14.

I am ready to pull the trigger, but looking for the best buy I can find.
Anyone with any help finding a smoking deal in the VA/NC area your help would be appreciated.

Hobie is TOUGH, they don't cut any slack on their pricing - at least that I've found. Retail or List price is a hard nut to crack on anything with the Hobie moniker. They are like the Harley Davidson or Mercedes of kayaks - Hobie isn't cheap. The demand is there and they do not have to offer any discount to make their sales, so they don't. You could check dealers for a demo kayak, I did that with an Outback a couple years ago. Nothing wrong with it, other than the DEMO branded in the kayak and I saved about $350. Used is another way to save a little, but the PA's hold their value. If you want a 2013 for the flat hatch and raised seat, you may as well resign yourself, bite the bullet and get it over with.

Seems that is what I am finding. They are proud of them and if you want one you have to belly up and do it.
Will make a few more calls, but it seems that anything I might save will be burned in gas to go get it

Always worth a try to ask.

I can't speak for them on pricing, but I have bought two Hobies from Appomatox River Co. and found them to be excellent people to deal with.

I also have bought 2 Pro Anglers and a Outback from Appomatox River Co. and they were great to deal with.

You can find discounted Pro Anglers at certain times of the year, April isn't one of them though. Usually when they introduce new models or have leftover stock which is pretty common around me, even with Pro A's.

There was a shop that closed down around me a while back and the last two Pro A's, including lots of extras and a trailer no less went for $1800.00

I found out too late :( :(

You can definitely find good deals on barely used yaks, including Pro A's, more than a few buy it then realize they can't handle the weight and sell it.

I thought the price of around $2450.00 was really pushing it for a plastic Kayak but when they jumped to $2950.00 i thought for that kind of money i expect something made out of a longer lifespan material .

Austin Canoe & Kayak (ACK) are having their spring demos going on right now. I’m sure you might be able to purchase a demo or might have special pricing going on right now? It's worth the shot. They can ship one to your door for like $50.00

$1700.00 is a great deal, just got to be in the right place at the right time. I think you enjoy it a hell of a lot more if you get a great deal on it.

The best price on a Hobie is when you sell it. These things hold their value very well. Unlike most of the regular plastic navy.

I got mine, PA 12, at the local boat show for 15% off along with 15% off on all accessories that I bought at the same time. Could have gotten the 14, but elected the 12 for personal reasons. If there's a boat show coming up in your area, you might want to consider that source.
