Had a chance to get on the water with my son this past weekend for the annual Shad Shootout here in Richmond, VA to benefit Multiple Sclerosis. It was his first trip with me in the new PA14. He rode shotgun and was a shad catching fool. He landed 15 shad, including a 19 1/4" beast of an American Shad, and a couple white perch. I had fun watching him fight the "poor man's tarpon", but I managed to sling a rod a few time and landed a few 15" shad myself and a number of perch including a portly 11 1/4" one. A great day for a great cause.

Shotgunning for Shad

Enjoy!

Outstanding video, sir. I love to see the kids excited about fishing. Was he comfortable in the back of the PA?

Yes he was. He had a gel pad to sit on, but he spent all of his time standing. I test fit a wooden canoe web seat and it fits perfectly across the rear tankwell. I plan on getting one soon. We will be spending a lot of time this summer on the water.
