I want to photograph fish alongside a 24-30" measuring stick and then release. The Hawg Troughs seem like overkill due to onboard storage requirements. The adhesive measure on the side rail of my PA14 does not permit a photo since it takes 2 hands to hold any decent sized fish there. Anybody figure out how / where to mount an adhesive measuring strip for in-cockpit photographing of your catch prior to release? Not sure if the rough surface of the inner hull would permit this, but just asking. I am thinking of cutting something like this to size: http://www.mcmaster.com/#adhesive-backe ... pe/=mmiupz

I simply took my adhesive measuring strip and applied it to the floor against the inside wall of the front cockpit. I simply snug the nose of the fish against the wall where the rod holders are and simply lay the fish along the tape. This gives me a "quick" measurement. I don't use it for tournaments.

That's good to know. I was not sure if these stickers would adhere adequately to the lightly textured surface of the inner cockpit. Thanks for the follow-up ideas.
