:o I took my ai out for the first time things went fairly well however I damaged my mirage drive the rod poked out of the fin I took the keeper ring off and put it back in but but have a tear in it what to fix with any suggestions thanks by the way my ai was great the furling set up takes getting used too . I think I am the only person with an ai on lake Oahu in Pierre Sd.

I'd have to see a picture, however I poked the rod through one of my fins. The simple fix was to poke it back in and Gorilla tape/Duct tape it up. Havent had any issues with the patch in over a year!

I know a few here have heated and melted the fins, but they would have to chime in on that one.

Even better than Goop is Aquaseal. This is made to repair wetsuits, so is incredibly tenacious yet flexible.
