http://static.hobiecat.com/digital_asse ... Manual.pdfThere should be a cheek block on the port side at the bottom of the mast that will operate with the block at the end of the wire jib halyard. Often the plastic sheave of the cheek block breaks and disappears and what you are left with is stainless plates with two studs. If the plastic sheave is missing, you could replace the whole assembly, attach another block to the stainless cheeks, or simply run the halyard around the one stud causing the halyard to turn sharply with lots of friction. Hopefully the sheave is still intact on your mast.
