installed a hobie jib furler on my hobie 16 problem is, the jib won't reach furler when I raise the mast likes about a foot to foot and a half to connect. followed hobie directions (I think) i have the 10 hole adjuster up top. do I need to add more or am I just doing something wrong sail was cut down for furling but that shouldn't have affected length right

Webster... I had the same problem a few years ago... here is what i had to do...

Image
(the second adjuster is a 6 hole adjuster i think...) i needed a total of 27.5 inches.

This year i replaced the hobie 16 forestay swivel pigtail that was 13.5 inches with the hobie 18 forestay swivel pigtail
hobie part number 60810011 that is 24.5 inches.. made it neater and smoother...
i leave the shroud wires on the last adjuster... attach the jib to furler... then get someone on the trap wire while i tighten up the shrouds to give me my mast rake...

also did this modification .. furls faster with less effort.
