Hello to all. Newbie here. I've been reading this message board for a while now and have just purchased an Oasis. First boat ever. . of any kind. . . and lots to learn. Enjoy the reading the forum and have learned lots from all of you so far. Thanks for that. Have only had the Oasis on the water once and that was a couple weeks ago. I am currently waiting for some parts to come for warranty repairs. While I wait, the Oasis sits in my garage. This morning when I walked by it I noticed some small, clear liquid droplets that seemed to be weeping, (or, oozing) out of the hull in several different spots. It seemed to have a little bit of an oily feel to it but there was no odor. The kayak was manufactured in March 2013(according to the serial number) and, as I said before, hasn't been in the water in 10 days or more. I don't think the liquid was water condensation from early morning humidity because none of my other toys or vehicles had anything on them and my garage is closed at night. Just wondering if anyone has any idea as to what this "stuff" might be? Maybe it's just a byproduct of the curing process of the hull material?

Hobie uses a mold release to ease the kayak out of its mold -- it feels a little oily. This could be what you notice. Nothing to worry about. Hope you're back on the water soon! 8)
