Update:

I spoke with Tackle Webs today, and they informed me that there is a waiting list for the side panels for the Vantage seat. They are currently making them, and contacting people on the waiting list in the order they were added to the list.

I just emailed them with the email listed on their website (did not use their site's email system, sent directly from my email)

Lunker1: I measured mine, and it looks like the space is 14"x10", but it appears the Tackle Webs are actually custom fit, and larger at the bottom than the top.
The ones for the Vantage seat sides aren't listed on their website.

Sounds like someone got the cart before the horse on the marketing/promotion of this product. Website down, out of stock, poor customer service.

This is a good product. TackleWeb should regroup quickly and get their act together before they totally ruin the brand name :!:

This is a simple product to have made yourself. Go to a appulstry place and I'm sure they will have the webbing then get the nylon border material then have it sewn together. Shouldnt be too tough.

On my next day off I will go find the material and give an update in a separate new thread. I'd hate to high jack another persons product review post.

Finally got an e-mail from Captain Mike at tackle webs. Apparently they are still having some difficulties with the website but are producing the vantage seat side webs in small batches and contacting people on a first come first serve basis. He has told me that he will get ahold of me next week if I am still interested. At least I know that my e-mail was received and noted. Guess I will see what happens next week. Really like the look of this product and may relent on my decision not to buy if there is some real follow-up. Will keep ya all posted. :D

Just an FYI. I got an email from Tackle Webs today saying that my side webs are ready. It's been less than a week ago that they put me on a waiting list, so it appears it doesn't really take long.

Here is the email of the owner. He replied quickly, and got me taken care of quickly.
[email protected]

Hope that helps anyone thinking about getting some of these. :P

Has anyone actually been able to order through the website?

Got an email from Mike yesterday saying I should be able to order the side webs (the ones for the gunnels - not the vantage seat) via the website now, but... Site won't calculate shipping & therefore doesn't offer shipping methods, so you can't complete the order. Very frustrating!

Mike's been good about answering my emails, but the site is still non-functional, at least for me.

FYI, the website seems to be working now.

It let me calculate shipping & complete my order. Shipping to MD for the Hobie Side Webs (for the gunnels) was $10.20, which is a little steep for a $29.99 item IMO! Oh well...

Now we just wait for the UPS man!

Islandspeed2001, you crack me up....! I can understand where you're coming from. That's the reason I like to keep my PA as clean and lean as possible. On the other hand, I think it would be a great move to get these webs to keep everything handy and close by.
