I took a Erwin 18" Quick Clamp (the olderstyle) and made a tension tool out of it. I just cut a slot in one end to just fit snugly around the forestay wire so that the eye end cannot sliding through. I put the other end of the clamp under the roller furling. Just squeeze the clamp a few times to get good tension and put the pin in. It is much faster than using the shrouds. I would always have someone holding the halyard taught for safety. Hope this helps. John
