I just got my new hobie sail kit today and want to make a furling kit for it. I tired in vain to find some rope that matches the type and style that hobie uses in their kit (black and blue static nylon), however, after going to 3 home stores, and 2 marine stores and I can't find even a close match.
I think its around a 5mm, but I am not exactly sure what rope/line it is?
Anyone know?

I don't know exactly what brand it is but rest assured that any old line will do-it doesn't have to be anything fancy because the loads on the rope are so tiny.

I used the main sheet line for the furling device and purchased a longer line for the main sheet. Not sure what it is called but here is a pic of the West Marine product: Image.

Also... if you want cool line, try a climbing store. They have high quality line and many colors.
