Hi all-

Help with reeving my H16 has been much appreciated in past. I think I am getting something wrong however. Below is a link to an album with five images of my mainsheet and jibsheet. Particularly on the mainsheet, the turn which leads to the becket seems crossed to me, but I'm at a loss for where else to thread it. And I'd appreciate knowing if I have the jibsheet right. Thanks!

Your jibsheet looks correct. It looks like you may have a twist on the starboard side that goes to the jib and back but maybe its just the way you're holding it.

Jib looks right if it's not twisted.

Main looks a bit twisted but you asked about this several years ago: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=14058 Looks pretty much right but you have the blocks (especially the ratchet) twisted around so it's hard to see what flows naturally to what.

On a separate note, your boat shows that the bent tiller arms continued for some time after the adjustable rudders came out. Maybe only a year, but the changes did not happen together.

Hi Anton-

You're right I asked - but I am unsure whether I have it right, with the first part which goes to the becket. It seems to cross, but I am unsure where else to take it. I don't feel the main sheet lets out as quickly as I'd like.

Regarding the tiller arms, I thought those were supposed to be bent - I remember them being symmetricly bent.

Best, Paris.

Different thread, but that upward bend in the tiller arms went away about the same time as the adjustable castings were introduced. Yes, that bend is original. They all have an inward bend; it is the upward bend that was discontinued. Matt Miller wrote about this a few times:

viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9863

Someone in that thread says their '84 had straight arms, so the changes must have been almost (but not quite) simultaneous.
