I am an avid fly fisherman and just purchased a PA14. Love It! Prior to this, I had the Sport and Outback models. Question: Has anybody used the PA14 on the White River in Arkansas? I have fished the White and Northfork for more than 20 years, but never in my Hobies. I think it would work well, but just not sure- I would appreciate some sage advice.

Many thanks

I work out of The Beaver Dam Store in Eureka Springs AR. We are the first fly shop on the White River in Arkansas. I have done my best to wear out the PA this last year on the White. Last year the river was low and even then the PA worked great. Now all the water is back to normal levels and floating the white with the PA will be great.
Stop by the store if you get this far west.
Jim

Thanks Flyfish. I will definitely stop in. I typically fish below Bullshoals am planning a trip to Buffalo City with my PA in the next few weeks. Was there and at a number of other places, including the Northfork last month Nymphing-tore them up.

Looking forward to testing the Mirage drive!

My brother lives on Bull Shoals Lake. I try to make it over there each year to fish but haven't made it this year. I can remember fishing the White River before all the various dams were put up. Guess that dates me.

Funny island, that did date you. :-) I remember the Beaver Dam project. Finished in 64 or 65. All the rest are older.
fishalot, They are suposed to start a "constant flow" below northfork. I don't think they started yet.
Come back with a fish story.
Jim

Constant flow. Do you know how many generators that would be like? I would suppose that would also affect the North Fork?

I'll send a report when I get back. Am really looking forward to trying out the PA on the White for Browns and bows. I may also peddle down to the confluence of the Buffalo and head upstream for a day fly fishing for Smallys-Oh yes!
