Hi Everyone!

We did it! Our first long trip. Well not that long! but it was the first time from island to island and sailing in places we didn´t know at all. So we were very excited about the experience. WE have taken some time to edit and trying to say all that happen there. First time also for this type of documentary video. We have worked on some subtitles in english so we can communicate with most of our community. If you have some time to watch (32 minutes) we hope you enjoy and if you like to give some feedback on anything, we are more than happy to learn from you all. Greetings from the Canary Islands, Spain, where you know you can count on us and our boats whenever you come to visit this islands.

Mammoth effort fellas. It took me 3 days to watch it all. Really enjoyed it. Over those 3 days, did you have any issues with recharging batteries or did you just take spares ?

thanks very much for your comments!!!

regarding the batteries: with carry some spare, but I recharged them anyway with an ANKER recharger batterie (13000 MAH) with two USB outputs, so we were recharging cameras and mobile phones most of the time. Very useful!

We carry 7 cameras anyway two of them with backpack batteries

Excellent story, Ed. Great experience. I look forward to the "readers digest" version.

Having survived, what did you learn and what advice would you share with the group? What would you do differently?

Hello Cavendish! You make wonderful movies!

I still have serious thoughts about the Canary Islands. About ordering a TI to one of the Islands and spend the whole winter there, on the boat most of the time. I do it in lake Mälaren, but it is a lake, not the Atlantic ocean. What do you think will be my most serious problem? Do I really have to wear a dry suit all the time I'm on the sea?

You guys are my heroes - epic journey and amazing journalism! Great ingenuity in the repairs and a good reminder to have an extra parts kit. Is the haka storage solution your own design?

Wow what a great adventure ! I really loved the video. It's my new favorite hobie forum video other than the ones Slaughter made. You did a good job with the editing and it was fun to watch.

Those hakas in the video were also quite interesting. I like the way you made them work as a cart, a bed, a table, as well as nice comfortable hakas. Thanks for sharing the video and adding the english subtitles.

Yes, another great video. Terrific editing and production.

How did that dry suit transform into a wet suit so easily?? The haka creativity was neat.

Thanks for the video and the work you put in.

Keith

Very cool!

The rudder screw beach repair was amazing. How fortunate to find a fit right at the beach where you landed.

You captured what it is all about and why we love doing this. The camaraderie, the excitement, the wine at the destination. Great video. My wife and did an overnighter here in San Francisco in a bay called Tamales Bay. We ended up finding a great beach (water is much colder, though) and set up camp. We sneaked across the bay to a great restaurant for beverages and returned happy and content and still far away from civilization. Loved it. Thanks for sharing.
