My Wife makes both Sprayskirt kits with everything necessary for a quick install and also just the sewn material that you can choose how to mount yourself. They can be purchased on her website at: http://www.deesquiltdesigns.com/sprayskirt and more information is on my website at: http://www.kayakingbob.com/sprayskirt-purchase

I've got a set of patterns for a skirt that you can borrow if you want to make them. I can email some pics

For a full kit with everything you need to quickly install it, yes (including shipping in the US, discounted shipping elsewhere). She also sells just the sewn fabric for less, if you want to do your own rigging.

And finally, if you want to sew your own, I also have my pattern (AI) for free download on my website. For a TI, just cut it 4 inches shorter.

They are also sold at a growing number of West Coast, Canada and Hawaii Hobie dealers.

The cost of Bob's skirts are worth it unless you are skilled at sewing... the time and quality is there in the cost... if you start making your own you will realize it's worth paying the man.

I am not paid by Bob for my endorsement... yet

No, but he is the only person I know to actually wear-out one of my Sprayskirts! :)
(It was one of my earlier ones, not made from heavy Coolaroo fabric).

Geoff is off touring the mainland. If any of you get a chance to sail with him, take it! He is skilled from sailing in Hawaiian waters, safety orientated, but not quite as crazy as NOHUHU, Batman or I. 8)

If you can sew or have a friend that can, spray skirts are pretty easy to make. I give explicit instructions on how to make miniskirts (http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=285) And, then, you can see my comments about my tweaking them--still a work in progress: http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=7276&start=300 Scroll down until you come to the miniskirt posts.

Miniskirts, hakas, and a slightly raised seat will give you a fairly dry ride on an AI, except in dds conditions.
