The pulley with the becket goes to the stern end of the boom. The lines will not run smoothly if it is reversed. The proper way to run the line is in the link that Sunvista posted. I bought my boat new in '85 and used the 5 to 1 blocks for about 15 to 20 years.

In answer to your question on stopper knots, there is only one. The other end of the main sheet ties to the becket.

Can someone tell me the size (length, diameter and thread count) of the screw that holds the lower cleat angle adjustment (Seaway 5:1 as pictured in mmiller's post). Is there just one screw on one side or is there one on both sides? Mine is missing and I'm tired of it moving all over the place.
