Just bought a new/used Hobie 17. The righting line was with the boat but not installed and I can't find any diagrams or instructions on how to rig it. Any help would be much appreciated, it is the blue and white braided one. Also what do you do with the main halyard when the sail is up? On my H16 we just coil it and jam it between the mast and halyard. There is a cam cleat and pulley on the starboard side of the mast and can't figure out what it is for the halyard maybe, just not sure. Downloaded the manual but doesn't address either and the photos are too dark.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Will

I just coil the halyard line and stuff it in the tramp pocket. There is no need to cinch it off.

This could be for your downhaul.

Does it look like this?
