If you read the text that accompanies the guide, you'll note that:
1) It's Hobie 16s only (
most 14 and 18 patterns were similar)
2) It's North America only (sorry, don't have the resources to track all the Euro patterns)
3) No worlds outside North America are included
The original Hotline articles for all the world championships are in the process of being scanned and posted on the
http://www.hobieworlds.com site (specifically
http://past.hobieworlds.com/pastworlds.htm). So far, we're up to 1987, with another three scheduled to hit the scanner this week.
The ones you mention are the 1981 Hobie 14 Worlds in Fortaleza, Brazil (green / light blue) and the 1979 Hobie 14 Worlds in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa (dk. brown/orange/yellow)
I've considered doing another guide of all the worlds sails, but that's about 100 hours of time I just don't have right now (the original guides (16, 17, 20) have about 1000 hours into them, including the updates and corrections). The worlds sails are harder because many have corporate logos on them that need to be reproduced - look at the 1995 Huatulco sail below. I'm also fanatical about detail - for example, the sail numbers used for the nationals boats on the guide are the actual sail numbers used at the event for each color, and in the case of the Huatulco sails, the "O'Neil" logo was on the opposite side of the sail, so you see it reversed and partially transparent, along with repositioned flying H and smaller sail numbers.
