What is the total length of a Hobie Mirage Tandem Island on a Hobie Single Tandem Island Trailer?

Trying to determine what my storage options are. I have the lengths of the individual items but need to account for how much of the TI hangs over the end of the trailer.

Tandem Island: 18 ft 6 in
Trailer: 15 ft 6 in

Tandem Island on Trailer: ?

My AI sits about 16" back from the tongue of the trailer. It depends on where you have the winch (if any) placed.

I didn't like the Hobie trailer available here in Australia because of the excessive forward overhang. My local trailer guy put this together for me. Total length is around 19'6" including the winch.

You should be able to modify whatever trailer you have.

The bow can nearly be over the hitch ball, so length is the boat length plus how many inches aft you position the hull. Since the trailer swivels at the ball the bow is fine right on above it. Maybe 6" back without a winch.

Mine is the same as VaBeach1. That includes a swivel tongue jack and a winch. Any less room and the hatch on my tow vehicle couldn't be opened without uncoupling the trailer.

Those are good points. I would definitely want a winch and I would also want it back far enough that I can open the tailgate of the truck without a problem.

Thanks!
