Has anyone installed the Hobie TI cradle set on a Malone trailer. The opinion seems to be the Malone cross bars are too thin for it to be securely installed. I am not happy with the Thule supports as they work loose too easily on a rough road. Also could a TI be stored on the trailer with the TI cradle? This would be over winter only and it is very cold where I live.

Update....I moved the Malone bars as far forward as possible and now have a spread of 65". The Hobie TI mounts work perfectly on the Malone trailer. I am storing the TI on the trailer over winter.
