What line is the new boats coming with and what diameter.I know they use to come with pretty cheap stretchy 1/4" line, but now it is closer to 5/32" pre stretched line.Would like to know make of it so I can order some.

Can I order this line thru my Hobie Dealer?Asked him already and all he is showing is the old 1/4" white line. Also want to order length for double grommeted center,so probably need 40' for center.

We don't stock the line used in new boats (Liros). The line comes only in complete line kits coming from Australia at the moment... main sheet, jib sheet, laces etc. You can get a complete line kit if you want.

I'm trying to get bulk line in for the next catalog.

In addition, new boats / trampolines will be coming with the double grommeted center lace soon. I don't have the line length spec yet.

Any Hobie dealer should have new replacement lines. Just order more of it!

In the mean time, can you give me the line diameter and recommendation of line bought here in N.A. That most closely resembles what is in the new boat package for tramp lacing.I will figure out the length.

Both those lines are very stretchy. Is there a prohibition on spectra/dyneema tramp lines?

If not, I'd highly recommend something with a spectra/dyneema core, to allow you to keep as tight a tramp as possible.

As noted the new line coming with boats is not available... yet.

The line recommended is simply 1/4" # RH014WHT

Lengths are always in the parts diagrams in the catalogs (also noted above... and now center laces will be getting longer for the double grommeted trampolines).

Yes ,sure ,thanks Matt.We all know what the standard white line is listed in the Catalog is. We also know that that line is crap to put on your tramp.Way too much stretch.
Guess we just have to wait for you guys to get the stuff in that you are using already.

Hobie now uses Liros lines for sheets/lacing. i believe the Magic Gold is the tramp lacing. most likely 5mm.

not available in the US unless you buy a Hobie, or wait, as Miller says.

any 5mm or 6mm dyneema/vectran line will work well - or if you prefer the budget route any low stretch poly line such as some of the stuff Murrays sells.

Put me down for 60' of the black with blue and gold tracer. That would look sharp on my turquoise tramp.

Thanks Matt, those colours for the Tramp lacing line look very nice.
So your saying there is a chance (said in my best Jim Carry voice ,in Dumb and Dumber) that you may get some of that Magic Gold Line in?

Mike, you coming to the Minneapolis area any time soon?

I'd lace it with 3mm dyneema myself. I've got a couple spools of yellow. I think its about $.30/ft. I might have some red too, but it turns pink in a hurry. Robline had a black that was sweet, but it got discontinued or changed and I stopped buying it. Might have some 2.5mm blue too come to think of it.

Otherwise I could mail it to you.
