Work and travel have conspired to keep me from taking the TI out for nearly two months. Yesterday, plopped it in the Gulf and had a grand afternoon of sailing. Temps around 80F, pure blue sky, winds 10-12 knots out of the south, light chop on the water, and everything on the boat worked to perfection [even the skipper!]. Even launch and retrieval went without a hitch [I usually do something wrong at those critical points]. Reminded me why I bought the TI!

Awesome! Thanks for the report. So easy to get wrapped up in work. You gotta play too!

It was my turn on Thursday! The tides aligned to help me circumnavigate the island, while the wind gave me plenty of tacking practice amongst the oyster farms on the way home.

Om the way home (traveling clockwise), I stopped off at one of the many picnic spots provided by the local council (park benches under shelter, fireplaces, nearby eco-toilet etc) and on this one, somebody had thoughtfully provided a plastic garden chair, so I sat for a while while the tide turned, which wasn't too difficult with a view like this.

Not a bad way to use up 5 hours of my life!
