Tis but a minor inconvenience. I havent been in 6 years or so.
I am a mile from the fest, we hear them partying, and carrying on when we're outside partying and carrying on.
I have learned to plan my trips on Saturdays and Sundays to avoid the worst of the traffic.
I went to the local short track to see some racin' Saturday, so the noise wasn't too bad relatively speaking.

What the heck? Jerome??? You were within driving distance and didn't come down to visit? What is your excuse for not sailing??
We look to be in Ocean Springs again in the spring so you'll have to try to come to that one.

Hey Jeff,

We all appreciate your help last week. It was amazing how much the wind and sea state changed in a day. You'll really enjoy getting involved with racing. Some of the best 18 racing around is sponsored by Fleet 23 in Dallas, Bob Johnson's fleet. They've got several active 18s. Here's a link to their site: http://www.hobiefleet23.com/. I used to go over there to race when I lived in Shreveport. A bit of a drive, but their two big regattas, Mid-Americas and Leukemia Cup, are well worth it.

Jerome,

I'll try to make it to MWE this spring so I can get my butt kicked by your new boat. With any luck, I can bring some of the Division 9 guys with me.

We were on a tight schedule since my daughter only had a couple of days off school for fall break. Opted for some art, the zoo, TexRenFest, and chile rellenos rather than driving and hour each way to see your ugly mug! I get my butt kicked enough at a MWE....don't need a week of it at NAs. I did a regatta at our local YC single-handed in 15-20 a couple of weeks ago. After 3 races I didn't want any more.....too much beer and chile rellenos, I guess! Maybe I'll start working out for next year (not)! If MWE is at OSYC next year I'll be there and pray for light wind....I'm awesome in a drifter!

P.S. Good move on the sail raffle.....good to know you aren't a total pr@%k!

Hi Tom,how are you guys making out with your boat.Broken front crossbar, wow that sounds pretty nasty.
Never really heard of that before, any thoughts on what caused it.Besides the 8' waves and 20+ knts of wind.

Sheeeeiiiiit... I hung out with Michael McNeir for a week now I have a slow, deep, southern thing going on. I actually said to the Mrs. that I was 'fixin' to go to bed last night.
We'll see you at OSYC in the spring or at the roulette table at the Golden Nugget.
