After using my new AI 2 or 3 times I got very annoyed with the control lines getting tangled up with my feet and the mirage drive. After reading about other solutions to this problem, I decided to do something about it. Here is my version of 'Spooks' mod. So much better now, no more tangles and much easier to control.

I've been looking at doing something similar for the furling line only.

Unfortunately I can't relocate the cleats to that position, as I have Scotty flush-mounts in that spot.

How did you go about attaching the harken carbo block to the crossbar - did it fit trhe exisiting screw-holes?

Cheers,

Mike.

Had to make slight adjustments to the harken to fit the existing holes.

Hey Hogman, Nice work by the way.
I have been looking at doing a similar mod to better position the furling line in the back seat of my TI.

I already have the Yakattack track mounts in that position. What fitting did you use in the track mount to be able to flush mount the plate for the Harken cleats. I assume that you made the plate for the cleats out of alloy plate.

I see Josh has also used a similar mount on the main sail rope but again, I can't see what fitting to use in the track. All the fittings I have for Yakattack track have a bolt sticking up but not a plate to screw a bolt into and end up with a flush bolt head.

Cheers
Geordie
