Hi guys I got a 2 or 3 year old Revo, and the rubber gasket from the front hatch is coming off. I tried using a hot glue gun but that didn't work.

Would you recommend I just go with crazy glue on it? I want it to check first before I use something that permanent.

I use my kayak off-shore, so I guess I really need this gasket.

Thanks in advance
Dan

Super Glue works.

Matt,
Just so I am clear on this..... you are using CA (superglue) to glue the soft round rubber gasket to the hard rubber "U" on the rim of the hatch opening and not to the hatch lid....correct?
My Revolution's rubber ring has completely separated ....so not absolutely sure how it was attached?. Seems an odd design. Why not something more like auto type extruded weatherstripping?
Thanks.

This is a type of auto seal. We have now gone to an extruded version, so no longer have this issue.

I'd suggest picking up the new stuff to be done with it.

Two questions for Matt Miller:
1. Will the 71301001 TRIM LOK SEAL (TOP MOLDED) work on a 2006 Adventure's hatch?
2. Is the 71305001 TRIM LOK SEAL (LG TOP-MOLDED) (for PA Hatches) used on the 2014 PA14? I'm asking because I gave my 2014 PA14 a major hose down, from all angles, this past weekend and had zero water intrusion.

Answer is yes to both questions.

Use of the larger one on Pro Anglers is current.

There are two types of seal for the 06 adventure. On top and one 90 degrees on its side. We only have the side one in a glued configuration. Fyi... we changed the Adventure (in 12 or 13?) so the hull flange uses the top molded one now as well.

The top molded gasket material will fit any hatch / hull with the vertical flange configuration.

Fyi2... we are looking at a new material with a lip that looks like it seals even better on a Pro Angler. There was some discussion here and a user in Australia gave use a source.

Kudos to the Hobie folks for being open to user input! An awesome company for not living in the status quo.

@Matt Miller, just to be clear, the 71301001 TRIM LOK SEAL (TOP MOLDED) work on a 2006 Adventure's hatch? Should I send a picture of what I have so the version can be determined?

Will work on the lid... not the hull flange which is in a horizontal plane. That flange type requires the side-glued.
