Sitting here in the last days of fall with the boats covered under snow, I'm anxious for the season to turn and to be headed back towards longer days and warmer temps. It's hard to imagine that it's still fall after the past two storms we've had. A new set of sails is waiting to be tried out. The good news is that spring will come and that for Christmas the family will be together. Merry Christmas to the Hobie family in all its forms.

If nothing else, the cold weather brings an appreciation for the warmth. Something tells me this goes a little beyond sailing and temperatures...

Merry Christmas.

Santa is a bad-ass sailor in his off-season! Sailing by the tiller with the main sheet in his lap on the wire flying a hull solo. I suppose that's how he keeps in shape for his big night.

Since he's sympathetic to cats, I wonder what the chances are of getting a new Wild Cat in my driveway?

HEHEHEHE... You might think that about Santa... But only in the video was there enough wind to really pop the boat up... :D

I most of the pictures it was some leeward magic... Pop it up.... then race to the windward side and pretend you had been there the whole time...

Check out the spray coming off the boat...
