There will be some extremely cold, windy and ugly days ahead, but with perfect weather on the forecast for the weekend I was not about to sit around and let a great opportunity go to waste. I set everything up and got in the water just before sunrise. Spent the first two hours searching around but couldn't find much out there, so I continued navigating. Just before giving up, fish started showing up on top of the flats. It wasn't until after 10:00 in the morning that the fish decided to come out and play. It was a bit breezy early in the day, but the conditions changed completely by mid morning. Didn't see any big schools of Redfish, but there were plenty of them cruising the Flats, along with some beefy trout. Hooked up with a couple of trout and three Reds. The water was pretty clear at the lagoon and the fish seemed to have the advantage, but they were hungry and kept coming back around.

Looks like a great day to be on the water!

Looked real calm. We had luck both before this last storm and today fishing was great again.
