Got my sailing presents early this year... my H18sx and a very lightly used aftermarket sail suit for it. Thanks Santa (me and my wife).

Cold-weather sailing gloves, a marine walkie-talkie and a Commodore's burgee for my Wave (I'm the commodore of my sailing club this year, amazingly enough!).

Best Gift
Watching my 21 year old son captain his great Hobie 16 in 25 knot winds and huge waves at Edisto Beach SC
The end over end flip and a blow over were great to watch
Was worth paying for the broken jib batten
Good times

I have a hand signed hull from Mr. Hobart Alter Sr. , with Hobie Jr. and Grandson Jeff. Some art on it also pay off my mortgage and I'll drop it off at your house.

So I ended up for 'christmas' with a 2013 H16. Fitted with red epo2 rudders and sweet European 'blue lagoons' sails

For sure going to be taking Santa for a ride on this one like I did last year!

Oh and that new hobie book is awesome.

What did Santa bring?
News that the 'other' one-design program I race with will have a very agressive schedule for 2014, making it very tough for me to find time to compete on my H18... ugh.
