Do we have an official "news" thread yet?

I want to know what is happening!

Yeah I'm surprised that more hasn't been covered or publicized here given this is the World Hobie forum. I've seen several posts on the Hobie Cat Australasia facebook site.
Certainly worth checking out:

Worlds site is the place to go... Up top in the sticky. Hobieworlds.com

We are working hard setting up. 60 boats on the beach. Daily reports and videos will be on the Worlds site.

Oh. I see the sticky thread now. I missed it because I usually just look at unread or new posts and had not seen anything pop up.

I have been trying to tune my Facebook feed into the action as much as possible and will pass along anything interesting.

Some great images have been uploaded from todays action.
On a negative note it looks like Hobie have really spent a lot of time designing the sails for these Worlds. They just seem to get more boring each time. I'm assuming its a cost cutting measure but seriously I can't recall the last time I saw a worlds with a sail design that makes you go 'WoW'!. We need the European Hobie designers to take over ;)

Hate to say it ,but have to agree, those sail colours look a little lame. But when you are getting a brand new boat to use for just registration costs, hard to complain.

I was hoping for more, but think they look sharp.

What is killing me is lack of coverage. The isaf is hitting me every day with awesome coverage, and I have to track friends Facebook feeds to get anything thus far on the hobie world champs.

Help!

It looks like the guy in the above photo is going to need a new tiller cross bar after getting the back end up. Where's his crew?

And I've got rudder-envy.

Worlds site is the place to go... http://www.Hobieworlds.com

Still the best source. I can't yet get good wireless on the beach, but pointless with good coverage on worlds site and Facebook. Great photos, reports and video.

Cranking windy the past few days. Over 30 knots each afternoon. Storm due tonight and supposed to settle down after that.
