Guys, My H18 has gotten past the repair stages and I thought I would like to get into a newer performance cat. Are there any 18ft to 20 ft beach cats that are fitted with wings ? (either factory or aftermarket). My h18 had them and I am in my 70's now--I think they would be easier on my back....DJ

Theres a great condition H17 with wings over on the beachcats.com site thats race ready, also Hobie FX One's have wings too but are kind of hard to find. Both have been discounted by Hobie. I have a Hobie 20 that i'm looking for wings - for the days then the women want to go out. A lighter 17 footer would be a lot easier on your back too

I have seen Hobie Waves with wings, which were most likely installed by a dealer. But, I would imagine that you could install wings on your boat once you acquire it, right?

I believe the "wings" for the waves are only a backrest, not meant to sit on or trap off of.
I have see used getaways in the $3k-$5k range that had wings and we're in good condition. Just have to scour craigslist and be prepared to make a road trip to pick one up. You could probably post a WTB beachcat with wings in the classifieds section and see what happens.
What's your budget? I'm always on the hunt for good boats.
