This July I'm planning a TI trip on Vancouver Island. I live in Oregon so it's an international trailering trip.
Has anyone done this with a TI on a trailer ? I'm mostly concerned with re-entering the US. Is it difficult to get back into the US ? Any special documents/fees needed for the boat and trailer ?
I'll be taking the ferry from Port Angeles WA to Victoria BC.

Any insights appreciated.
Thanks,
YakAttaque

Hi YakAttaque,
Twice in the last 3 years we have gone camping up into BC w/our AI's on a trailer. Once to the Broken Group and last year up into the Northern Gulf Is. I'm sure you already know you need yourpassport. But we have never had any problems going to Canada or returning home. They check your passpport going and coming and you are not allowed any fruit or veges going or coming home. The Blackball ferry fee round trip was close to $300. Its highly advisable to make reservations before your departure date, and also for your return date.
Where are you planning on TI'ing? Both places we visited were beautiful. But we decided the Broken Group we loved. Its a wilder, and more beautiful place to be.

Thanks for the great info Wanda, :D

This puts my mind at ease, I started to worry about issues with trailering a boat across the border.
In late july I'm going to Broughton (from Telegraph Cove, BC). The Broken Group was another spot I've seriously considered.
