I've got a 2013 tandem island and I really don't like the current seat. It always seems to fold up and be very unsupportive. Is there an alternative to the hobie seat?

There are numerous aftermarket seats similar (yet different) to the Hobie seats. Surf to Summit, SKOOSH, etc. They would likely just clip in. You might like one of those better. I find the Hobie seat in my AI and TI to be fine and haven't had the problems you mention. Of course I realize not everyone likes the same thing.

You're not the first one to find the supplied seat uncomfortable domromer. As a start, if you do a search on this forum for skipper seats, there are a number of different designs that have been implemented by Hobie forum members.
