I just found out that the world has lost one of the great innovators, to whom all of us owe our gratitude for bringing us such enjoyment and even improvement to our way of living.

My deepest respects to his family.

Indeed, Hobie has touched my life in many ways with his surf and sail imagination.
He truly is a legend that will not be forgotten by many of the people who have used his products which have created countless beautiful memories.
Hopefully, if there is such a thing as heaven, he will be busy bringing moments of happiness and joy there with his knowledge of physics applied to having fun.
Hang loose !

Well said fellas. Not many people can claim to have changed so many lives for the better. Sad loss.

Thanks for all the boats, Hobie!

And for bringing us Ketterman's Mirage Drive and thereby making the paddle obsolete.

If it's any consolation, thousands of watersports enthusiasts had a Hobie day this weekend. Our Hawaii Island Club certainly did.

Mahalo Hobie and family. Our world's a better place thanks to your vision and efforts.

My condolences to the Alter family.

What an amazing life and what an inspiration to the gifts of sharing ones love of the water with the world. Thank you Hobie!
