I have a soft spot on my deck. Can I use expanding foam and fiberglass over the holes to make them water right or does it have to be injected with epoxy?

Lots of discussion on the subject.

Don't use expanding foam... use Epoxy and best for the task is GitRot.

Has to be injected with epoxy. You need something that will re-bond the fiberglass layers to the foam core. Injecting expanding foam will not achieve this, and the soft spot will remain soft and continue to grow. Where in the deck, and approximately how big?
