I bought a new spin, old halyard seems to short (bought the boat recently) makes my spin a "BUTT" shape. It's about 75' and I read 85' is recommended starting point?

found a source that said get 86' of covered spectra 5mm or 3/16"

PLEASE could someone point me to a link where I can buy the proper line? having a bear of a time looking for it in proper size and length.

thanks
Ron

Ron-

There is a thread under the F18 section of catsailor that talks about this a bit. Should be easy to find although its not Tiger specific.

I've been looking at one of the 5mm spectra double-braids, to pull the core out on, but a good friend has used a Dyneema blend Mafioli with a dyneema section spiced from the head to the halyard block. Said it was much simpler to make, doesn't have twisting issues, and is still friendly to the spin, preventing burns.
