You can use Linguine , but in my 2010 Outback, I installed 6 pool noodles inside the left and right side.....I lashed them together with 1/8" nylon line so they would not slip/slide out of position.

Sooner or later some bright spark is going to find a way to fix the drive-well hairline crack issue - either via wholesale surgery of the affected area or via a quick & dirty fix such as the aforementioned gorilla tape... There must be a solution out there somewhere!!! (You would have thought!)

Anyway, from time to time I have wondered about the potential of a brilliant product (in other applications) called 'Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure' (google it). This stuff is magic at fixing hairline cracks that let water in in other situations such as automotive windscreen seals, boat windows & portholes and the like... What I don't know is whether or not it would be in any way effective & long-term enough with these drivewell cracks... From my experience I am fairly sure it would stop the leak in the laboratory environment (i.e. On dry land)... Someone else might have sufficient incentive - like a suitably cracked hull with no warranty cover - to test it on the water and post results for the wider community?!

Where I launch there is a combination of sand and rocks. I use a piece of outdoor carpet to cover the rocks while dragging the kayak over this area. A friend never bothered to do this and has worn through the keel area of both his OK boats.
